Made good use of the 25% discount coupon that came with pre-ordering HP&TDH and quickly bought these 2 since it’s expiring tmrw. I haven’kept up with Douglas Coupland since I still haven’t finished reading Microserfs. The Popular guy wouldn’t let me use the $10 off coupon on the 3rd book though. No matter, coz they didn’t have The Alchemist, well they did but I’m not paying $50.80 for a hard-cover, even if it is Paulo Coelho.

Several nights of working overtime staying late at the office, plus eating dinner supper at 12midnight has led to this. But I cannot don’t eat dinner at night coz I can’t get to sleep on an empty stomach, so how. nabehz, 3 mths of duromine+control down the drain, must start again.

portfolio might change somewhat in the coming weeks, to something I’m not keen in.  now I’m undecided as to staying or leaving. The move to the eastern part of singapore (if) might force my hand in the near future anyway.  I shudder at the thought of anything more than 3 hours commute a day and a direct bus is very important.  Direct buses tend to equal snooze time.

But even as I post this, I’m opening my confirmation letter, and surprise!  there’s a little increase.  Unexpected.  very small but still very unexpected.  but i’m still not keen on the new portfolio.

Not as good a read as I expected, and a rather too-tame storyline to expect from a male author.  Maybe I’ll get his “二房客” series instead.

That’s the 3rd I’ve finished this month, including HP n the Deathly Hallows (but this was more of a speed, rather leisure, read).  Nothing to be proud of though.  Still wondering about Mr Nine-Knives tho, as shir has confirmed that he is an un-put-down-able read…crap.

看來張孝全是臺灣新生代導演今年的最愛。看來我又會在新加坡的大熒幕上錯過另一部臺灣電影。 看來明年的shopping list上又再添多一個DVD了。
