of nothing
of tacky liquid neon memories
Read in the papers that Sentosa’s Musical Fountain is closing down to make way for the new IR. I’m not a huge fan of the fountain, having found it rather tacky back in my youth. I haven’t visited it many times either, I think a total of 2 visits in my lifetime.
But then, doing away with a tacky Singaporean memory and replacing it with an even tackier capatalist institution is worse.
methinks I might pay Sentosa a visit some time this week.

of ways to save money
I went for supper just now at the 老地方. The main attraction was there, but my mind wasn’t on that, because I decided to go drink beer with S instead. As I smsed her, beer is more important than food. In order to save money, don’t eat.
On my way out, I met my bro who decided to give me a lift in his retired ah beng GTI. save money again
At supper, I snuck some noodles from their plate, and mama spared me a couple pieces of crab meat yumz so they decided that I only needed to pay for the beer.
After the main attraction left, we hung around chatting just because we are 讲义气 one, and go there to eat, not gawk. mafians, dun snigger, just agree, k?
As we left, I asked S to take the nite bus and so she agreed. We went up the bus and I tapped my card case. Hearing beeps, I went off to get a seat. When I reached my stop, I tapped my case 4 times. Not hearing a beep, I thought I was deaf due to the earphones stuck in my ears.
Getting down the bus, a thought dawned on me. I took out my ezlink card at MacD’s yesterday to tap for points and never put it back into the card case again.
OOPS! I saved money on bus fare!!!

of minna no tabo, everybody’s tabo
Even though my bank account has been bled dry, and I’m on the verge of declaring bankruptcy (literally), I still find some money here and there to buy senseless stuff like this:

Aren’t these minna no tabo slippers cute? They’re very comfy too, and rubber dots on the bottom make you walk with a squeaky noise
. I came across them at the sell-whatever-we-have-on-hand-cheap store at BLSC and had to snap them up immediately (much to my mum’s dismay), just because tabo merchandise is really hard to find in Singapore.
The original ones look like this and come with a drawstring bag…I want!

of mamee and powdery messes
I finally tasted this Baby Star Crispy Noodle Snack (Chicken Flavour), quite yumz, like mamee without the powdery mess.

of DIY
I took a break from my job (of looking for a job) today, and did some
DIY. It doesn’t look too good and the base is too crumbly, but tastes quite ok if I do say so myself hiaks unfortunately, I’ll have lemon cheesecake for dessert for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the next 3 days
forgive me while I turn green for a few days…

next up, rum-soaked tiramisu! anybody has rum or kahlua to spare?
of finally lao’ing yu sheng
there’s just something about lao’ing yu sheng that makes the neatest person in the world make a mes.

of communicating
found this web snippet in my flock browser, i think i did this a few months back. It brings to mind a small exchange with mama a few weeks back when she couldn’t understand how people like me could stand going out alone… chris understands

You Communicate With Your Ears |
![]() You love conversations, both as a listener and a talker. What people say is important to you, and you’re often most affected by words, not actions. You love to hear complements from others. And when you’re upset, you often talk to yourself. Music is very important to you. It’s difficult to find you without your iPod. |
